For those of you who get humor out of others distress, this entry is for you. As you saw in my previous post, my patience has been tested a lot as of late. Jackson has been working on not making "houses." He even prays that he won't make them "because they make mommy sad." However he still does but now he calls them "spaceships, cars, and dinosaurs." People have told me that the terrible twos are nothing, and it's the trying threes. Wow, were they right! Jackson has only been 3 for 3 weeks, and he is trying me every single day. 2 nights ago, I decided that I really needed to not yell at my kids. I don't yell a lot, but it seemed like more and more lately. That night, I prayed for patience and help not to yell. Well, I think my patience was tested more than ever and I didn't yell....I just cried a lot.
#1: It started with Jackson waking up at 6:15. Being lazy, I took him downstairs, put him on the couch and turned on the Disney Channel. I came down later and he had gotten this basket of candy out (It was on top of the fridge, I didn't know he could reach), poured it out all over the floor and was having a good old time eating it all. 
#2: Jackson has now been potty trained for 3 weeks and he has done amazing with maybe only two accidents the whole time. Yesterday he didn't have any accidents, he just decided that he didn't need to go to the bathroom in the toilet anymore. I noticed that there was some liquid on the treadmill. I wiped it up and it was yellow. I asked him what it was and he said he didn't know. I thought it must have been his apple juice, but kept thinking about it. On top of the treadmill and right next to where the liquid was found was Creighton's little tricycle. I included a picture, and as you can see there is a little compartment in the back for the kids to put toys and other things. I guess that it must have resembled a little toilet or something because when I opened it up there was poop and pee in it. SOOOO GROSS!
#3: Jackson was having quiet time watching a movie in the back room and I went back there to check on him. He said he had some pee pee on his foot. Sure enough, there was. He urinated on a toy. AHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Please note, that he didn't have accidents in his pants. He took them off to perform both of these actions. It was deliberate and just plain mean.
#4: Went to get Creighton from his nap, came back 30 seconds later and Jackson had colored with a black crayon all over the carpet.
There is more, but these were the worst for the day. I didn't talk to anyone about this yesterday because I was too upset. For those of you who want to call and talk to me about this to laugh, please don't. I do not find this funny yet and I am not quite sure when I will. I would like to note, I have disinfected the trike, threw away the toy he urinated on and disinfected all the areas around so please don't be scared of my house. I have also got Jackson back on page and there have been no problems today. I did not pray for patience last night.

Allie, my prayers and thoughts will be with you all year long until Jackson turns 4. While I did have to chuckle at a couple of the things, I know that when I go through this I will not be laughing either. Good luck through the rest of this - I hope he starts catching on to the many things that make mommy "sad" and stops doing them. Is that being too hopeful?
Oh wow, I am in for a treat when I come out there and see you guys. I will make sure to put Stella in a body bag to keep her safe from all the peeing! I am sorry that this has been happening, it is funny to read about it on our end but I have a feeling that the day that Stella starts pulling all this crap I will be calling you to get advice and support. How the heck did he reach the candy on the top of the fridge anyway?
Ohhhhh, Allie I am there with you all the way! It's so hard isn't it? I'm putting Landon in preschool this month 3 days a week (each day is 8:30-12:30) I am looking forward to having some one on one time with Conner. Hopefully they (the pre school) won't kick him (Landon) out! Hang in there, at least you're not alone, even if it feels like it a lot of the time.
Hey - it's me again. We're headed to Utah for just the weekend. I'll get in late Friday night (the 25th)and leave Monday night. It's Ryan's family reunion, so we're hanging out in Park City. Should be some good times.
Oh my gosh, Allie! This was the funniest post I have read in a long time! I'm so sorry...I'm sure I only found it so funny because I don't have kids. I was laughing so hard to myself at work that people probably questioned my sanity! We loved hanging out with Jackson. If you need us to take him off your hands for a minute, let me know!
I'm crying through the trying threes with you! I'm glad you shared your stories. It is good to know that we are not alone in this!!!
Allie I miss you tons girl! Oh the joys of a three year old. Sorry i don't have any advice because Jantsen was just the perfect child...yeah right!! All i can say is it is okay to put them in their room for a few hours just so you can have some quiet time for yourself...and in Jackson's case you might want to put suran wrap over lots of things in his room while he is in there. I can't wait to see you in a few weeks!
Okay, so I understand why you're going out so often with your boys:) Let the good times roll and please send some of those patience prayers my way...I could use a little...LOT!

Allie, I'm so sorry for you! I've heard that three is harder than two from a LOT of people. Hang in there, and just remember to pawn him off on Mitch whenever he's around (j/k!) You are a GREAT mommy and admire how great you are with your kids sooo much!
Oh my goodness! I think that since it has been a while since that happened I can tell you that I laughed first then thought poor girl afterwards! You probably handled the situation a lot better than I would have!
