Photoshop
So I am not the best at photoshop. My great friend Angie taught me how to use it about a year and a half ago and I haven't kept up with my skills. These skills are demonstrated in my header above. 2 of the boys were looking, but Jack had his head turned. Then in the next photo, Jack looked great but the other two looked bad. So I took his head off the one and put it on this photo. Mitch said I need to blend it in but I can't figure out how to do it. So....instead of wasting time on that, I am writing a post about how it's bad photoshop skills and my son doesn't really have a demented neck. FYI
Dumb & Dumber
Dumb is when you go to the store specifically just to get a roast for Sunday dinner and you wake up the next morning to see if sitting on your counter in the grocery sack.
Dumber is doing a craft fair. Let's just say it wasn't a great success, but hey, it's over. No need to make me feel better about it....I think everyone in my family has called to tell me "how proud they are of me." I know that it sounds like I am bitter, I really am not. I just realize I wasted a lot of time.
My goals now are to be smart and smarter. We'll let you know how it goes.

Who is Peter Johnson?
We were looking at the Ensign this morning and I was showing the boys pictures of the prophet. On the inside cover of last month's ensign is a picture of Jesus talking to Peter. Here is how the conversation followed:
Allie: That's a picture of Jesus talking to Peter.
Jackson: Oh, Peter Johnson?
A: No, who is Peter Johnson?
J: Oh, Peter Pan?
A: No THIS IS PETER THE APOSTLE THAT LIVED WHEN JESUS DID
J: (Now pointing to Elder Bednard) So is that Peter Johnson?
A: NO, Who is Peter Johnson Jack?
J: I don't know.
So....it sounds like neither of us know who Peter Johnson is. If you happen to know and can shed some light on how Jackson came up with that name, I'd love to know.

"More"

Easton knows his first sign. It's "more" and he uses it ALL the time. (You can see him doing it in the bottom left hand picture. I know he doesn't do it completely accurate, but it's good enough I think for a baby.) I don't know how a child that size can eat as much as he does. He downs his food and in between each bite he is signing more and if I take too long, he becomes the HULK. He literally puts up his fists in the air and starts to shake. I tried to get a picture of it, but I was always too late.
Easton eats everything. For dinner he will eat 2 jars of baby food, 1/2 a chicken breast, a roll, mashed potatoes, and then 1 hour later he will eat 2 humongous bowls of oatmeal. I am glad he eats well though, so I can't complain.
Project Time
I know I haven't been blogging much lately. I have been going crazy trying to prepare for my first (and only) craft fair next weekend. In the meantime, my kids have been doing their own crafts in which they call "projects." It basically involves them making confetti and using a lot of tape to tape it all together. They still make "houses, cars, boats" etc too as projects. I don't know what is worse.

Quote of the Day
It's 8 a.m. and I can't believe I haven't been woken up. However, I hear little footsteps downstairs. How long Jack and Creigh had been awake, I'm not quite sure. As I start walking down the stairs, I hear the footsteps run from the family room to the kitchen, that's when I knew they were running away from me and up to no good.
Creighton comes back in the room to greet me and announces,
"Mom, go to sleep so we can eat candy."
They had climbed on top of the fridge and were having a feast and apparently I had interrupted the party. How dare I!
I still can't believe my 2 year old said that to me. He already understands that when "the cat is away, the mice can play."

Thank Goodness Grandma was Here!
My parents came in town this last week and we had so much fun! My dad came for his standard 48 hours and my mom stuck around for a few more days. Whenever my dad comes, he spoils the boys rotten and we always do the same things. The standard Coco Key, The Amazing Pizza Machine, a movie, and swimming were on the agenda. My kids are still trying to catch up on their sleep from all the fun. Thanks dad!
This picture is of Jack and Creigh holding Max and Carol from "Where the Wild Things Are."

That's the movie they went and saw with my parents when they came.
I was so thankful my mom was in town this last week. We had a few catastrophes and they seemed to not be that big of deal since my mom was here to help.
POOR E: E has had a rough couple weeks. He has had a cold for about a month, I took him to the dr. 2 weeks ago and he had an ear infection, he fell down the stairs, he got some wierd eye thing where his eye puffed up (see pic below) and he is getting ALL 4 of his top teeth. The first catastrope started with E waking up with a 103 degree fever. He hasn't been sleeping well all week but I thought it was because he is teething. He had just finished his antibiotic the week before from his ear infection and I had a feeling it was back. I took him to the dr. and it was.
That night, Jackson was running back to his chair in the kitchen and it slipped out from him and he must have fallen on the corner because it split his eye open. Off to the ER. He only needed 3 stitches, but that was the most agonizing few minutes of my life. Watching them pin my little boy down like that sew him closed and him screaming "Mommy, Mommy," my heart was ripped out of my chest. It was so hard watching him be in so much pain and not be able to do anything to help. I am just thankful that this was the first time for stitches in our little family (since having kids at least....Mitch did have his little problem in Hawaii about 6 years ago).
Here are a few pictures about our fun. Thanks for being here mom, couldn't have done it without you!
More Halloween Fun....
Here are the pictures of our Halloween fun, before Halloween night. There are lots of festivities around here. It started with Music Time.

All the kids in their costumes. (P.S. I think there were about 8 giraffes in VG this year)

Singing with their puppets. They LOVE this song.
Eating school lunch.
I know Mitch would love to see how much our kids love the ribbon dancing.
On Friday, Jackson had his Halloween Party at school. I went and helped out, so Creighton got to come too and he loved it.
They also decorated cookies, played Halloween bingo and other games.
He has the best teachers and such fun little kids!
They are trying to make the same faces apparently.
I don't have any pictures from our Trunk-Or-Treat, mainly because it was so cold I just was focusing on getting the candy out to the kids and getting out of there.
Halloween was so much fun this year. Creighton and Jackson were very into it and it makes me that much more excited for next year. I have to say that Mitch and I's highlight was sitting down with all the candy and taking turns choosing the candy we wanted most. Creighton picked all the nasty candy, so Mitch and I basically got all the goods.....yessss.:)

Halloween 2009
Here are just a few photos from Halloween night. For those of you who know about Village Green, you know there were MANY other events where the kids were able to wear their costumes. I will post those events hopefully sooner, rather than later. For the meantime, enjoy this adoreable shark, giraffe, and skunk.
Nevermind.....
Nevermind about my cute blog header. It mysteriously disappeared. I'm back to summertime. One day when my sister can help me get it back it will look cute again.

My Cute Blog Header
My sister just made me my blog header. Isn't it adoreable? Apparently, my old blog header and template were driving her nuts because I hadn't gotten around to changing it. Thanks Josie for keeping things fresh for me!
