Easton (Stats & Stuff)

I went to Easton's 1 Year dr. appointment yesterday and wanted to make sure I put it down for my record.

Height: 30.5" (74%)
Weight: 23 lb. 10 oz. (63%)
Head Cir: 46 cm. (39%)

I also wanted to include some information about my little baby E so when I read this I can remember what he was like at this age. Probably boring for the rest of you, but essential for me.

Easton,

I love the way you always have to have your fingers caressing hair. Whether it be your own, or mine, daddy's, grandma's, etc. Whenever I pick you up, your hand immediately wrap around my head and stroke my hair in the softest and gentlest way. It melts my heart!

You love your brothers. As soon as you hear them, you get so excited and crawl as fast as you can towards them. You stick up for yourself with them too, but you're also still the little baby and love when they "baby" you.

Baby E, you have always been a mommy's boy, but in the last 2 weeks, you have really connected with your daddy and you love him so much. Daddy puts you to sleep every week at church and you look so sweet sleeping on his shoulder. I think you can't decide who you love more though because you always reach for the opposite person and when you get to that person you reach right back to the other person.

Last year, you came to our family as a little miracle. This last year has been more than amazing with you in our family. You are loved more than you will ever know!

We love you!

Easton's Big Day

Easton is 1 today!
Jackson's helping him be interested in his cake and not the kids running around.

He loved the frosting, but didn't dig into the cake as much as I thought he would.

This is him trying to say he is one.

With his presents.
"Hey brothers....give me a chance to open my presents. "

Opening the gifts.

Yeah....he was happy. Grandma got him the penguin to go with his penguin b-day shirt.

He loved his train.

and......his penguin.
Happy Birthday Easton!

Trip to See Santa

We took the boys to see Santa last weekend. Unfortunately, Creighton was being naughty in the car and after being warned, he had to sit in the car with Mitch while I took the other 2 boys in to sit on Santa's lap.
Jackson proudly announced that he wanted 4 marbles for Christmas and that his little brother Creigh-Jay wanted 2 marbles but that he couldn't come see him because he was being naughty.

I felt so bad for Creighton. I knew Mitch though, and Mitch sticks with punishments. However....not this time.

About 10 minutes later, Creighton ran up to Santa with 2 fingers in the air and announced that he wanted 2 marbles. He then sat on his lap and have you ever seen a kid so happy?
Speaking of not following through on punishments.....after a horrendous trip to Hobby Lobby with my kids last night, I cancelled Christmas in my frustration. Tonight Jackson's primary teacher came up to me and told me he heard Christmas was cancelled at our house. I guess Jackson remembered the lecture and let his whole primary class know I was angry and Christmas is cancelled. Yeah.....I don't think I will be following through with that.

All I Want For Christmas Is....

JACKSON: 4 marbles

CREIGHTON: 2 marbles

Jackson and Creighton have made their Christmas list and told anyone and everyone who will listen to them that they want 4 marbles and 2 marbles. Gosh....I hope I can have it this easy every year.

I HAVE POTTY POWER!

It's official! Creighton has potty power and is using the potty all the time. It started about a week ago with him wanting to use the potty. I honestly didn't feel like I had the time or energy to start this process, but he really wanted to. He was doing really well with the pooping, but the peeing was not going so well. Half way through each day I would put him back in diapers and he was usually glad to go back in them.

Last Thursday night, he got out of the bath and was about to get dressed when I could tell he needed to go. We ran in the bathroom and it took him about 10 minutes to actually go (he was so scared and little drips would start to come out and he would hold it back). The next day he wanted to wear underwear. We watched a movie called "Potty Power." In the movie they tell him to throw his diapers. He did just that (with me secretly removing them...just in case) and he shouted that he has "potty power!"

So....with one accident that day, one accident yesterday, and NONE today we are on our way. In fact today, he was going without even telling us he had to go. We would just hear the toilet flush. All I have to say is YEEEEE HAH!!!

Snow Days

Last week, school was cancelled Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Everyone in Utah would have laughed if they saw the amount of snow we received for how much school they cancelled, but that is just Omaha. We did get a lot of snow for here though.....about 12 inches. The boys had a lot of fun playing in it the first day, but the next 2 days were like -20 degrees with the wind chill. Yes, you heard right, NEGATIVE 20 degrees. Sick! (This pic was taken before the big snow storm. There is a LOT more snow now)

Photo Shoots

In an effort to get photos for a Christmas Card I have done 2 photo shoots. They didn't go great, but hey, at least we tried. I still have 2 more ideas for pictures, but with less than 2 weeks until Christmas, it may take a miracle to actually get them out this year. Just in case I don't, here is a preview.....

MERRY CHRISTMAS from 3 CRAZY boys!

School Projects

Since I use my blog as my scrapbook (even though I have everything and more to actually make one) I wanted to post a few pictures of some projects Jack has done recently at pre-school.

His ear is missing. He did originally have 2 ears prior to the taking of this picture.

Cleaning and Dance Party

In an effort to clean the basement, I will turn on "Cleaning Music" really load and we dance around and clean. Then after we finish we have a dance party. Here are some pic of last night's dance party and Daddy even got to join! Yeah!

He Didn't Get It From Me

Jackson has been making his bed every morning the last 2 weeks. He told me "Grandma says I should make my bed every day so I can start my day off right." Yeah......for those who know me know that he definitely didn't get this from Mitch or me but I sure am proud.
