Easton is 5 months old

This is a few weeks late, but Easton is now 5 months old and I think he has gained a few pounds since his 4 month visit. I seriously think he has gained 3 lbs in the last week alone. He has started eating solids and he is a huge fan. I just started the fruits and veggies and rice cereal is no longer good enough. He downs a jar and holds my hand the entire time making sure I don't stop feeding him. I don't dish it in fast enough for him.

Easton is a roller. The second you put him on his back he flips right over. He even looks like he is about to crawl (I have been pushing his bottom down anytime he does this....I am not ready for him to crawl.) He sleeps completely on his stomach too. I start him out on his back in the bottom left hand corner of his crib and I always find him on his stomach at the top right corner.

His sleeping through the night has ended and I have been sad. I go through phases of being a tough mommy and let him cry it out and usually rarely feed him in the night, but he is still waking up. Now that all our company is gone, I will be more strict and hope that he will learn that he needs to sleep.
As you can see in the picture, his hair is definitely standing up and he looks like he has a little crew cut. People have come up to me and asked me if I cut and styled like that. I want to say...."uh, do you see my pony tail? If I can't get myself ready, I sure as heck am not going to cut and style my baby boys hair." I just smile and say no though and keep that comment to myself.

Dear Mitchell

Dear Mitchell,

I don't know if you will ever log onto our blog and read this, but I want to write and publicly congratulate you on graduating from law school. I know you like to tell people that I didn't believe in you and I thought you would quit. Truthfully, I did. However, I learned something. Even though you did quit all 10+ jobs you had in Utah and quit the pharmacy school route, you didn't quit those things because they were hard. You were just looking for the right thing for y ou. You don't quit the things you love and the things you are passionate about. That's why in high school, you never quit sports. That's why you have never quit our family, us, or law school.

You are going to be an amazing lawyer. You have such a gift for it and I am so thankful you found what you love and went after it. I don't know many people that went through as many trials as you did these last three years, but you never complained and you always continued to work hard and do your best. I cannot put into words how proud I am of you.

I love you sweetheart! Congratulations!
Allie

Creighton

Creighton. Creighton. Creighton. I really don't know how to describe this child to someone. However, just look at the pictures and you will see why everyone loves him.

A few days ago I had all the dirty clothes downstairs to wash and Creighton got into them and started putting them on. He first put on Jackson's underwear (see pic #3) and ran in and said "Look at me, look at me" and spun around. That was the beginning of the fashion show. He LOVES to get this picture taken...can you tell?

Aunt Josie's & Baby Beckam's Visit

This post (along with others) are very late, but hey, at least I'm getting to them.

My sister was sweet to come out a few weeks ago for my birthday. We had a lot of fun and we did some fun things. We took the boys to the Amazing Pizza Machine, we ate great food, walked to the gardens, and of course the zoo. The few days passed by quickly and boys were sad to see them leave. Baby Beckham had grown up so much and I'm excited to watch him and E become the best of buds.

Here are just a few photos from the trip.

Got these capes at Enrichment Night the week before and when Josie came into town we cute out the letters. All 4 boys have them and they are batman on the other side. So fun!

Thanks for coming to visit Jo! We miss you and can't wait to see you soon!

Best Birthday Ever!!!!

So 26 is not a monumental age, but I just had the best birthday ever! The last two years have kind of sucked because Mitch was in the middle of finals and my family never really did anything because I always go back home after the semester ends, so they would always just hold off until then. For some reason, everything was aligned this year and it was GREAT.
(Please note, almost everything revolved around food with my birthday...as I believe it should :)) It started with my parents surprising me the week before and taking me out to dinner. Then, my older sister came into town to help me celebrate too. The morning of the big day, I slept in and we went to the Farmhouse Cafe for breakfast (delicious). Then I went and ran errands I wanted to do. Then I was able to go to the gym and not feel guilty about working out. I did a few classes and it was awesome. That night Mitch took me to the Paxton for dinner which was was very yummy and Mitch topped it off by getting me "The Wedding Cake" from Wheatfields (yeah, the best cake ever).
K.....so that's the best day, right? Um, it got even better. I ran with Josie to run an errand and when we got back, she handed me a card. In the card was a poem and a picture of my clue. It said there were 26 pictures and I had to find each one to get the next clue. I was running around my entire neighborhood in my high heel boots collecting all the picture clues. The final one was of Angie's door and when I knocked on it, many of my friends were inside to surprise me. The time and effort they spent on me made me want to cry. For one little second when I started it, I thought, "Wow, Mitch did this?" however, when I quickly realized the nature of what they had done, I knew it had to be a woman's work and it was not Mitch. I just want to thank my friends for doing that for me. It really meant so much to me and I will always remember it.
I also have to thank my sister and Baby Beckham for making the long trek out to see me, my parents, Mitch and the boys, Tawni for an awesome pedicure that I can't wait to use, and all the other people that sent me cards, calls, texts, emails, posts, etc. You guys are the best! I am so lucky to have such wonderful friends and family!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

My Boys

Creighton LOVES these boots and is always putting them on. PS is that not the cheesiest smile. I just want to pinch his cheeks.
Here is Creighton and Emma. Emma has been one of Jackson and Creighton's very best friend. She is moving next week and I am so sad, and I know they will be too and they realize what has happened. Lately everytime she comes over they love to play house and Emma is the mommy. It is so fun to listen to the 3 of them play. We will really miss their family and we are sad to see them go. Luckily, as Jackson says, they are moving by Papa's place so hopefully we will see them when we go visit.
I love this pic of my little E. See the chub...he's not so little anymore.

Surprise! Mama and Papa come to visit!

Last Wednesday (April 22nd) I got a phone call about 3 in the afternoon from my dad. My parents were on their way home from Boston where my mom had run in the Boston marathon on Monday (Congrats mom by the way! Huge accomplishment!). He was asking me weird questions and then he asked if they could take me to dinner that night for my birthday. I was shocked! I guess they have had it planned for a few months, but I had no clue. They were only here two days, but we did a TON of things and had so much fun. That night they took me to Johnny's Italian Steakhouse for dinner and it was amazing! If anyone wants a good meal, get the Steak Deburgo there. It is the BEST! They also have this warm chocolate cake with cinnamon ice cream. Yeah, my biggest loser competition didn't go so well that night.

On Thursday, we went to Costco, lunch, and then to Coco Keys to play at the pool. The kids loved it and Creighton still talks about Coco Keys (he says it pretty funny.) After we went to Burger Star (another bad night) and then over to the new pedestrian bridge to walk across. It is so cool. It's like a runner's paradise over there.

Creighton with Mama

I can't believe how grown up Jack is getting. He loved to go across this and he did it all by himself.
Easton didn't really get to enjoy the swimming, but instead slept most the time in his carseat.
Friday I was able to go run down by the pedestrian bridge while the boys had breakfast with Mama & Papa. After my dad took the boys to the zoo while my mom helped me do some stuff around the house. We finished off their trip with the Amazing Pizza Machine. It was sad to see them go, but we will see them again for Jordan's wedding soon.

Thanks mom and dad for such a fun birthday surprise! WE LOVE YOU and are so thankful for you. Also....I must note for the record that the weather was perfect and beautiful the entire time they were here. Normally, it is always the worst (whether it be humidity, ice storms, rain, blizzard of '07, etc.).

Where Does Time Go....Easton is 4 months

Well....he is actually closer to 5 months now, but this post is coming late. Here are some pics I took of him at 4 months along with his stats.

Height: 25.75" (78%)
Weight: 14 lbs. 3 oz. (34%)
Head Cir: 41.5 cm (29%)
Cuteness: Off the charts
Easton is such a happy boy! He will giggle and smile at anyone that will give him attention. When he went to the Dr. on the 16th of April they asked if he could roll over and he had not. However, that afternoon, he rolled over for the first time and he is pretty good at it now. He slept perfectly until the last couple weeks and now he is waking up twice in the night which is killing me considering he used to never wake up. It's time to start letting him cry...in fact, tonight is the night. We'll see if I actually go through with it though.

He's now old enough to be in his bumbo and Jumperoo and he is starting to like Baby Einstein (which is more for mommy than him). He still only poops every 5 days and I don't mind it at all. In fact....I haven't been around for this last 2 poopy diapers, so it's been almost 2 weeks since I've changed one. Don't worry though....Creighton is still around.

He just started eating rice cereal in the last few weeks and here is a picture of him. He is getting better at not just spitting it out and he seems to like real food.

Light Saber Fights

Jackson's cute little friend Ben has introduced him into the world of Star Wars. Jackson and Creighton are now very into Light Sabers and they love to play with the other little boys in the neighborhood. While we were in Utah, my dad have special light sabers for the three of them (my dad, Jack, and Creigh) and each night, they would go into my parents room, turn off the lights, and have their fights. It was very amusing to watch. Here are a few pics from one of the nights.
