The Big Question

WILL EASTON HAVE CREIGHTON HAIR????

My mom had 5 kids and I was the only one to have "the hair." Mitch's mom had 5 kids and only had one with "the hair." And Mitch's brother (who had "the hair") had 4 kids and only had one with "the hair." So.....I just figured Creighton would be the only one. However, as you can see by the pictures (Creighton is the exact age Easton is now) their hair looks fairly similar. I guess we'll have to wait and see. Check for updates on..."the hair."

Random Pics

Here are a bunch of random photos I found on my camera that I realized I haven't posted.

Here is my big eyed little guy. Everyone always talks about how big his eyes are, here is a picture to prove it.
After eating pudding:

Jackson made this fun "Monster Mask" at school and Mitch told Creighton to act scared. He definitely looks scared.
This picture was at Grandma's house. Do recognize what they made? This was a spaceship, but it resembled the "houses" Jackson used to make last year. I thought we were over that stage, but apparently now I just have two builders instead of one. The other day the boys made a "train" in Jackson's bed and they had everything they could find around the upstairs in the bed. I was so proud. (sarchasm)

The next few pictures are from the Safe Kid's Fair we went to in Utah. The hats are supposed to be fireman hats by the way.

Easton just chilling in the stroller during it.

That's Creighton giving a "Thumb's Up" but he apparently doesn't know what a thumb is.
Now there is a thumb's up.
One big coloring wall.

Inside the ambulance.
When we were driving around in Sandy we saw this cross-section and had to take a picture for Mitch's mom. Her name is Mary Ellen.
Another random pic of my little E.
Fun at Uncle Mark's on the trampoline.

What's up with the hand?

All four pictures below were taken today and after you see them, you will be asking yourself that very question. The answer....I don't know. Perhaps Jackson is the only one who really knows.

Please note these were the only 4 pictures I took today and the hand is up in ALL 4. I am still bewildered by it.

My Little E-Man is 3 Months Old!

I can't believe my little E-Man is 3 months old today. Time flies! This last month has been so much fun. For a while, we started wondering if he could even see because he seemed to never respond to us at all (part of being a newborn I guess). However, he sees us now and he LOVES to smile at us. I love his smile.
Easton this last month has finally stopped being so fussy during the day and I cannot be more happy. He has continued to sleep well at night generally 7-9 hours and even went 10 HOURS last night! I have never had a child even do 5 continuous hours before at 3 months, let alone 10. I am one happy mommy. I only wish he was more of a binky baby. I love the binky, but he is not quite as fond of it.
Easton's brothers absolutely love him and love to talk about how cute he is. I am loving the stage of his innocence right now and am in no hurry for him to grow up to become part of all the naughtiness that occurs in our house....I can imagine what 3 minds and 6 hands can do. I'll stick with just the 2 for now.
We love you Easton! We can't imagine our family without you!

The Terrible Twos have started

I know just a few posts ago, the title was, "My Sweet Creigh," but that is not the name of this post. He turned two just two weeks ago and the terrible twos have officially began. In the last 24 hours he has unrolled 2 rolls of toilet paper (one in the toilet, one in the floor). Also, do you remember the houses Jackson used to make (see summer 2008 for more info on this)? Creighton and Jackson have just started making them again and this time, Creighton brought a big bag of goldfish into his house and stomped and sat all over them. He also found my fruit bowl and he decided to take a bite out of 8 different pieces of fruit and unpeel the bananas and scatter them about. Lastly, he now knows how to get out of his bunk bed. For so long Mitch have been thinking we were so clever because my boys didn't know there was even a ladder and Creighton couldn't get down off the top bunk. Well, now that he's two he has new confidence and it can no longer contain him and he thinks he is quite the clever one. We are hoping to get that under control immediately. Wish us luck. Well, there you have it. Creighton is officially two. (Sorry for no pictures...I would have had to go out in the cold to get it out of my car and that wasn't going to happen.)

Josie's a MOM!

Beckham Quentin Peterson, my new nephew, was born last Monday, March 2nd at 8:20. He was 8 lbs. 15 oz. and 22.5 inches long. He has dark hair like his mommy and daddy and he is a little angel.

My 3 boys have been the only grandchildren on my side and they have spoiled enough and it is now time for some competition and we couldn't be happier he is here.

Josie and Micah have been trying to have children for some time now and after two failed attempts at invetro, everything all at once aligned (and FAST) to allow for this little bundle of joy to come into their lives. They only found out about this little guy coming one week before he came which is why Mitch and I and the boys packed up and headed to Utah at last minute. I could go on and on about what a miracle and how this little boy really was supposed to come into our family, but I think that is Josie's story to tell, so I won't spoil it. I really believe there was a lot of help from above to make this miracle happen, however.

Here are some pictures of my new little nephew (and some of the after party.)

Easton and Beckham: the little cousins (they are going to have so much fun!)

Diarrhea

Don't worry, this isn't a gross story. Just wanted to write this down so I could remember.

My mom and I were headed to Cafe Rio with my boys and I was on the phone talking to my friend. She was telling me about how her daughter had diarrhea. As we were headed into Cafe Rio I was telling my mom how I felt bad for my friend because her daughter had this bad case of diarrhea. When we got inside, Jackson proceeded to talk VERY loudly about how he had diarrhea. When we would tell him that he didn't, he would get defensive and say even louder, "Yes mom, I have diarrhea. I have diarrhea."

Lovely. Today, he coughed and then said he was sick and had diarrhea. I explained what diarrhea was and he said, "Oh, I don't have diarrhea."

Thank goodness he just talked about having diarrhea and didn't really have it. It still was quite embarrassing.
